What is costume jewellery?

The term ‘costume jewellery’ means that the item is plated with and not made from a precious metal (i.e. silver, gold or platinum). Our costume jewellery is plated with gold, Silver, Rhodium, or a mix of both, further details of each items plating’s can be found in the product description.

How do I clean and store the jewellery?

We advise following these simple steps to help you care for your Buckley London jewellery purchases. Avoid allowing the jewellery to come into contact with every day chemicals such as soap, washing up liquid, perfume, deodorant, etc, as these chemicals will damage the plating on the jewellery, and may cause rapid deterioration in the finish of the piece. Salt water also has the same effect – so avoid wearing your jewellery whilst bathing and swimming! Jewellery is best stored in its original packaging; this will help to prevent it becoming scratched, or the chains on your pendants becoming tangled. In the case of our sterling silver, this is British standard 925 silver (925 parts silver per 1000). Should the silver start to tarnish, which is a natural process and occurs in all silver items, polishing the item gently with a soft cloth should restore its lustre. Equally, costume jewellery should not need cleaning with anything more abrasive than a soft polishing cloth.

Can I wear the jewellery if I have sensitive skin?

All of our products are “Nickel Safe” and all the earring posts are made from titanium. “Nickel Safe” is a definition we apply to our products because they are tested to the stringent European Nickel Directive standards. The above safeguards should minimise any chance of your becoming allergic to our jewellery, but in the unlikely event that you experience any adverse reaction, please remove the jewellery immediately.

Does the jewellery come with a gift box?

A large number of our products are packaged in a gift box, each product will state in the product description if your selected item will be delivered in a gift box. If you are unsure please visit out 'contact us' page to get intouch.

How do I pay?

We only accept online instant payment. We provide our customers with a secure and fast online payment system either with PayPal or SagePay at the checkout. Both methods provide online payment solutions for thousands of online and mail order businesses across the UK. It offers an instant and safe payment through the internet and accepts all major credit and debit cards. Buckley Jewellery does NOT have access to, nor does it store, your payment details.

Can I cancel my order?

What if I want to use the images, descriptions or other information from the Buckley Jewellery website to promote the products that I am selling in my shop?

Buckley Jewellery Limited owns the copyright to all the information (literature, images, codes etc.) contained on our website. A ‘Disclaimer of Information Use’ has to be signed before you can display the information for purposes of commercial marketing or retailing of the products from us. Please contact us for a copy of the Disclaimer of Information form to be sent to you.

What is the extent of my warranty?

Buckley Jewellery Limited warrants that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase. If the product proves defective during this warranty period, Buckley Jewellery Ltd., at its option, will either repair the defective product without charge for parts and labor, or will provide a replacement in exchange for the defective product. If the original item is no longer available, then Buckley Jewellery Ltd. commits to offering an alternative replacement which matches the same cost of the original item.

In order to obtain service under this warranty, the Customer must notify Buckley Jewellery Ltd. of the defect before the expiration of the warranty period. Customer shall be responsible for packaging and shipping the defective product to Buckley Jewellery Ltd. Shipping charges prepaid are at Buckley Jewellery Ltd.’s discretion. Buckley Jewellery Ltd. shall pay for the return of the product to Customer, at its discretion. Customer shall be responsible for paying all duties, taxes, and any other charges required in order to ship the product.

This warranty shall not apply to any defect, failure or damage caused by improper use or improper or inadequate maintenance and care. Care instructions can be found on Buckley Jewellery Ltd.’s website.

This warranty is given by Buckley Jewellery Ltd. with respect to the product in lieu of any other warranties, express or implied. Buckley Jewellery Ltd. and its vendors disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Buckley Jewellery Ltd.’s responsibility to repair or replace defective products is the sole and exclusive remedy provided to the customer for breach of this warranty.
